The Boone County Solid Waste District and Boone County Health Department sponsor a safe sharps (needles) disposal program for the residents of the community.

Steps for FREE Safe Sharps Disposal

  1. Pick up a FREE sharps disposal container at the Boone County Health Department.
  2. Fill the container with sharps only.
  3. Return container to Boone County Health Department.

  • Make sure no one is looking over your shoulder or using a camera phone to get a card number or PIN. Use a hand to shield keypads at ATMs or other card readers.

5. WHEN IN DOUBT, DON’T GIVE IT OUT
